James 4:8 (NKJV)
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Drawing close to God is that really possible? Can I really draw close to God and fellowship with Him as the saints of old in Old Testament?
The answer is yes, God desires your presence He longs to fellowship and communion with you.
How do I draw closer to God? Many people struggle with this one questions, not knowing they are wired to hear God and walk with God as Enoch did in Genesis 5:24 (NKJV) “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.”
The first requirement of drawing near to God is spending quality time with God. Set aside a place and a set time to meet with God daily. A quiet place without interruptions or distractions.
The second requirement is a willing and open heart to receive what God is saying to you in that place. Come prepared to meet God, bring your bible and a notebook to journal His love messages to you. John 10:27 (NKJV) “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
Expect God to speak! God makes it very clear in many passages of the bible we do hear His voice. Believe what God is saying in His Word concerning you. You may not recognize His voice now, but as you spend time with Him, He will train you to hear His voice in a way that will be undeniable.
